HD Deck Rentals.com is a free service of Arthouse Films, Los Angeles (www.arthousefilm.net). Since high definition television is still in format chaos , we realized the one common denominator to every production these days is the HD deck. The deck is the vital hub of any post process, necessary to down-convert, capture, output, and project. As a company devoted to independent film production, we realized the emerging need for a service to easily track down and cost-compare all available HD and standard definition decks.

will HD Deck Rentals be expanding their database to include other tape formats?

Yes. We have been getting a lot of requests to expand into other tape formats, hard drive rentals, and even production gear.
Once we work out a few bugs from our beta test of this site,
we will begin to phase in new tape formats as well as improved functionality and search ability to the database.

is there any rating system in place to evaluate the quality and service of the rental deck vendors?

Not currently, but we are researching various methods of doing this and hope to have something online in the near future.

We take no responsibility for any rental transactions. We offer this free database merely as a convenience and take no responsibility for any resulting rentals.

what about listing abuses?

We have a strict policy to permanently delete all accounts related to manipulation or abuse of the database. We also log and collect IP addresses from each visitor.
